Welcome to my home đź’–
Laura Cardaropoli - Tintly
With Tintly I open the door of my imagination, to show you what I think and love.
I work using both digital and traditional media. Most of the time I draw from imagination and very often I take inspiration from my dreams.Â
You can notice that in many of my art pieces, the figures have not eyes. This is a characteristic of my style which is born gradually. The more I draw, the more I find natural to draw white eyes. I was inspired by another famous Italian artist: Amedeo Modigliani. He thought that the eyes are the soul's mirror, and for this reason he couldn't draw the eyes until he was sure to fully know the soul of the other person. I think it is impossible to fully know even ourselves, so I often draw myself too with white eyes. Furthermore, fictional characters do not have a soul, so when I create them I prefer to leave their eyes white.
I hope to find many people who can like and relate with what I am trying to say throug my paintings. Behind the immaginary landscapes I am showing you, there are often hidden messages.
So you can consider me as somone that has the opportunity to accompany you into my colourful world.
Projects
I am writing an illustrated novel "Daisy's journey in the afterlife". It is devided in 4 parts: "The wooden witch", "The Sea", "The incoming storm", "The cristal palace".
The wooden witch
A girl searching for her parents will begin an adventurous journey into the realm of the afterlife. On Halloween, the orphans are given a chance to see their parents again by finding the legendary Wooden Witch. For Daisy, it’s a yearly ritual, but this year the forest reveals its true nature. Their quest through a world of talking animals, dangerous spirits, and haunted houses uncovers a heart-wrenching secret about the orphanage, the witch, and their own existence, forcing Daisy to make an impossible choice.
